1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing and using the services of Palawan Rental Cars, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Rental Requirements

Driver Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license
• Must provide valid government-issued photo identification
• International visitors must have a valid International Driving Permit (IDP)
• Must provide complete personal information including full name, age, marital status, nationality, and current address

Additional Requirements

• Additional drivers must meet the same requirements and be present during pickup
• All authorized drivers must be listed on the rental agreement
• Corporate accounts may have different requirements

3. Rental Rates and Terms

Daily Rate Structure

• All rental rates are calculated on a per-day basis
• Same day pickup and return is considered as 1 day rental
• Rates vary by vehicle type, season, and rental duration
• All rates are subject to change without notice

Minimum Rental Requirements

• Minimum of 3 days rental required for destinations outside Puerto Princesa City
• Rebooking for shorter rental terms is non-refundable

Extended Hours Policy

• Additional PHP 300.00 per hour charged for extended hours beyond agreed return time
• Late return fees apply immediately after agreed return time

4. Reservation and Payment

Booking

• Reservations can be made online, by phone, or in person
• All reservations are subject to vehicle availability
• Rates are subject to change until confirmed reservation is made
• Special requests (specific vehicle color, model year, etc.) cannot be guaranteed

Payment Terms

• Payment must be made in full amount upon vehicle pickup
• We accept major credit cards and cash payments
• A refundable security deposit of PHP 5,000.00 is required for all rentals
• Fuel is not included in rental rates - vehicle must be returned with same fuel level
• Additional charges apply for late returns (PHP 300.00 per hour), damages, and other violations

5. Vehicle Use and Restrictions

Permitted Use

• Vehicles may only be driven by authorized drivers listed on the rental agreement
• Vehicles must be used for lawful purposes only
• Driving is permitted within Palawan and approved surrounding areas

Prohibited Use

• Off-road driving or on unpaved roads without prior approval
• Racing, testing, or any competitive driving
• Transporting dangerous materials or illegal substances
• Subletting or unauthorized commercial use
• Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
• Exceeding maximum passenger capacity

6. Security Deposit and Damage Policy

Security Deposit

• A PHP 5,000.00 refundable deposit is required with all rentals
• Deposit will be returned upon satisfactory vehicle return
• Damages to radio, tools, tires, rims, mirrors, and accessories will be deducted from deposit
• If deposit is insufficient to cover damages, renter is liable for remaining costs
• Damage assessment conducted at licensed automotive centers

Insurance Policy

Renter Liability

• Renters are fully responsible for all vehicle damage during rental period
• Renters are responsible for all traffic violations and fines
• Loss of keys or remote controls will incur replacement fees
• Personal belongings are not covered - renter's sole responsibility

7. Fuel Policy

• Vehicles are provided with a full tank of fuel
• Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level
• Refueling charges will apply if returned with less fuel
• Fuel receipts from the last 10 kilometers may be accepted for adjustment

8. Return Policy and Late Fees

Timely Return Requirements

• Vehicles must be returned at exact date and time specified in agreement
• Late returns charged PHP 300.00 per hour beyond agreed time
• Same day pickup and return counts as 1 day rental
• Minimum 3 days rental required for destinations outside Puerto Princesa City

Failure to Return

• Unreturned vehicles without notice may be reported as missing to PNP Anti-Carnapping Group
• Criminal charges may be filed for vehicle theft

Vehicle Condition

• Vehicles must be returned in same condition as received
• Excessive cleaning fees may apply for excessively dirty vehicles
• Smoking in vehicles is prohibited and will result in cleaning fees

9. Penalties and Additional Charges

• 5% penalty per month applied to unpaid accounts over 30 days, plus additional costs
• Rebooking for shorter rental terms is non-refundable
• Late return fees: PHP 300.00 per hour beyond agreed time
• No-shows will be charged the full first day's rental rate
• All court expenses, attorney's fees, and legal interest paid by renter if legal action required

10. Emergency Procedures

Roadside Assistance

• 24/7 roadside assistance is available for all rentals
• Contact our emergency line immediately in case of breakdown
• Do not attempt unauthorized repairs

Accidents

• Contact local authorities immediately in case of accident
• Notify Palawan Rental Cars within 24 hours
• Complete all required documentation
• Do not admit fault or liability

11. Force Majeure and Limitation of Liability

Palawan Rental Cars is not responsible for unforeseen events beyond human control during the rental period, including but not limited to:

• Broken or damaged bridges and infrastructure
• Inaccessible or unpassable roads
• Natural calamities (typhoons, earthquakes, floods)
• Civil commotion or unrest
• Any circumstances preventing vehicle from reaching destinations on time

Our company shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Total liability shall not exceed rental charges paid.

12. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Philippines. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of Philippine courts.
